We are a selective grammar school for girls, which gained specialist engineering status from 1 September 2003 - The first all girls school to achieve such a distinction!

The school remains a centre of excellence in all subjects but this initiative has extended the range of opportunity and vision for young women - breaking subject specific stereotypes and contributing nationally to the pool of able young women entering the professions of science and engineering.
