Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is "condensed" into 2 years, allowing students to move on in Year 9 to work appropriate to their ability and interests. It emphasises the development of the skills needed to succeed in school and later life as well as knowledge and understanding of particular subjects. The school's VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) allows students to begin to take more responsibility for their own learning.
The common core of subjects studied at Key Stage 3 is:
| Art | French | Music |
| Biology | Food Technology | Mathematics |
| Chemistry | Geography | Physical Education |
| Design Technology | German | Physics |
| Drama | History | Religious Education |
| English Language and Literature |
Information Technology | Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Careers Education |
| Spanish |
Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11)
Our philosophy is that pupils should be encouraged to continue with a broad and balanced curriculum, while also being able to begin to specialise in the subjects at which they particularly excel. Those students who are ready for more advanced study are given the opportunity to move on at the rate which is most appropriate for them. Options are chosen at the end of Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10
