Parents & Carers

We have now launched our new friends association called "Friends of SGHS" with the aim of allowing parents, carers and the wider community to hear from students and the Headteacher about the school’s vision for the future.

Join us for a chance to spark ideas for fundraising and future school and community events. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact

100 Club

The 100 club is a great way for you to support the school whilst having a bit of a flutter! The primary beneficiary of the 100 Club will be the school’s hardship fund, which helps students with school expenses they might otherwise not be able to afford.

Here is how the 100 Club works…

  • You can buy one or more membership numbers for the 100 Club via parentpay or by completing the attached form and returning it with a cheque to the school’s reception.
  • Specific numbers can be requested but if these have already been allocated then the Friends’ committee will allocate the next available number.
  • The cost per membership number is £20 and each number will be entered into the monthly draw for 12 months.
The draws will be from January to December.
  • There will three winning numbers each month. 1st prize will be £40, 2nd prize £25, 3rd prize £10.
  • If more than 100 membership number requests are received and purchased, there will be increased prizes, with the total prizes equating to 45% of the money received over the year.
  • All participants must be over 16.

Help support us in our goal of making school a more eco-friendly environment for our students by purchasing one of our reusable water bottles. We hope to encourage water consumption and create less plastic waste on a daily basis.  Bottles can be purchased via ParentPay and then collected from the school shop or main hall dining area at break times

Bottles are £3.50 and all money raised will go back to school.
