I am currently studying Mathematics, Physics, Art and Computer Science as they are subject’s which I really enjoy and which will allow me to pursue a wide range of options when applying to university.

Why did you apply to Arkwright?

I applied for an Arkwright Scholarship as I thought the process would be a good experience as I would gain interview skills and exam practice. Furthermore having achieved an Arkwright Scholarship I have been able to make more contacts within the engineering sector as well as being able attend more events due to the financial award.

I have previously done a week’s work experience at Enabled by Design completing design exercises and developing skills in software such as Sketch-up and Revit. I am also currently doing an extended placement at RBS Architects.

What courses have you attended?

So far, thanks to my Arkwright Scholarship I have been able to attend events such as the Sterling Stories event in Leeds hosted by the RIBA. It has also allowed me to attend exclusive university open day events and achieve a better understanding of what I’m looking for in future courses.

What are you hoping to study at university?

I am currently looking at studying for my RIBA part 1 or for an Meng in architectural or structural engineering.

Any other information that you think would be very useful.
