Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified French teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the academic, pastoral and social life of the school, to act as personal tutor and to take part in the school's programme of professional development. We have a fantastic team of staff and you will be fully supported by an experienced Curriculum Leader who share a vision of effective teaching and learning founded on collaborative planning, assessment and instruction, and who help each other to continually improve practice. We are seeking a well-qualified, lively, highly motivated specialist and innovative thinker to further strengthen the provision in the MFL faculty.

 

You will be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and personalisation strategies and be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of monitoring and evaluating whilst improving the standard of achievement for all students. You will be confident in your abilities to teach effectively at all key stages and a specialism in French is essential. You will be adept in creating a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for students of all diverse backgrounds.

We seek to appoint a Computer Science specialist who is excited about the future of this important subject and its role in education. The successful candidate may be an experienced teacher, an ECT or an aspiring teacher who wants to train via the Teacher Apprenticeship route. Computer Science is an essential component of the SGHS curriculum, and we are excited about the opportunities it brings to our students to ensure they are fully prepared for the modern world.  Our students learn about Cyber Security and Cyber Crime, App Design, Coding and AI. We are responsive and future focused, so our curriculum evolves with the modern world. We are seeking a lively, highly motivated specialist and innovative thinker to further strengthen the provision in the computing department.  The successful candidate will be ready to take on the challenge of developing our curriculum in tandem with the fast growth of this sector.
