Northern Star Academies Trust seek to recruit the very best people to work across our Trust Partnership. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our Facilities team and support the school in ensuring the environment is safe, clean and compliant for all.
We are seeking to appoint reliable and trustworthy cleaners to carry out cleaning duties within allocated timescales, whilst taking a flexible approach in order to meet the school’s requirements. We have one permanent role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3.45pm until 7.45pm and one fixed term role to cover maternity leave, 10 hours per week, 3.45pm until 5.45pm. We can offer up to or down to 15 hours per week for both roles dependent on the candidate.
Duties will include (but not exhaustive):
General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings
Emptying waste bins
Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings & paintwork
Cleaning toilet areas
Dust control mopping / sweeping of floors
Vacuuming and carpet cleaning floors
Using cleaning materials as instructed

Salary: NJC Grade H, Points 18 to 23 £29,269 - £32,076 FTE. Actual salary £21,346 - £23,393
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive exams service which is pupil focused in accordance with SGHS exam policies and the regulations set by awarding bodies for both public exams (including GCSE and A-Levels) and internal examinations. This dynamic role requires a detail-oriented, highly organised, and communicative individual who can collaborate effectively with all stakeholders involved in the exams process. Organising teaching staff cover and deal with day-to-day absences. Data protection and compliance, to support best practice. School policy administration and management. Administration of Year 12 admissions.
The Exams Officer will play a pivotal role in organising and managing SGHS exams, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for students and teaching staff. The successful candidate must be adaptable, capable of creative problem-solving, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
