In Year Admissions
In Year Admissions after the start of Year 7
In-year testing will take place to assess suitability for the school. The tests are produced by the School in English and Mathematics (plus Science for Year 10). These tests are based on national curriculum content appropriate to the age group. Each of the tests lasts for one hour.
If more students taking the assessment reach the required standard than there are places available, then the oversubscription criteria outlined in section 1.v. of the Admission Policy will be used to determine which applicants are offered places.
We do not normally admit into Year 11 (or late on in Year 10); however, exceptional circumstances may be taken into consideration by the Governors’ Admissions Committee.
Provisional testing dates:
- Wednesday 18th September 2024
- Tuesday 19th November 2024
- Tuesday 14th January 2025
- Tuesday 4th March 2025
- Tuesday 29th April 2025
- Thursday 26th June 2025
Registration closes 10 days before the test date.

Please contact the school regarding available places. Where a year group is at PAN (planned admission number) achieving the required standard does not guarantee a place at the school.
